Who We Are?
The National Center for Quantum Technologies (QUTE.sk) is an interest association of legal persons that was established in November 2021 for the purpose of supporting and developing research, development, implementation and application of quantum technologies in the Slovak Republic.
The founding members were the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic. In 2022, the Association became members of the Institute of Physics SAS, and the National Security Authority of the Slovak Republic.
Our mission at QUTE.sk is to serve as the central coordination and support hub for advancing research and education in quantum technologies throughout Slovakia. We aim to foster collaboration among academic, private, non-profit, and governmental sectors to develop quantum technology systems, networks, and infrastructure. Our goal is to bring new opportunities and financial resources to further quantum research and innovation.
Our vision at QUTE.sk is to establish Slovakia as a leading player in the field of quantum technologies. We aspire to create a vibrant ecosystem that connects researchers, industry partners, and policymakers, driving advancements in quantum technologies and contributing to global scientific progress and technological innovation. Through our efforts, we envision a world where Slovakia’s contributions to quantum advancements are globally recognized and celebrated.

General Assembly
The General Assembly is the highest body of the association and consists of all members of the association. It approves fundamental documents of the association, elects and dismisses members of the executive committee and supervisory board, and decides on the admission and expulsion of members of the association.
The executive committee is the statutory body of the association. It decides on all matters of the association, if they are not reserved to the competence of the General Assembly or the Board of Supervisors by legal regulations or statutes. It accepts the partners of the association and appoints the members of the Strategy Advisory Board.

Board of Supervisors
The Board of Supervisors is the control body of the association. It comments on fundamental issues of the activity and management of the association and submits recommendations related to the association’s activities to the Executive Committee and the General Assembly.
